The Situation in Shanghai April 2022

 two weeks, sometimes much more for many of you, we are all subject to the strict confinement imposed by the Chinese authorities on the entire municipality of Shanghai to deal with the unprecedented epidemic outbreak in the city. Our compatriots who live in the Yangtze River Delta provinces outside of Shanghai are also mostly subject to strong restrictions that damage their daily life and professional activity.

This lockdown has turned everyone's lives upside down. Difficulties related to the supply of food have become a subject of concern, as has the question of access to emergency care. This is added, for the families, the problems related to the education of the children and the anxiety of a possible separation if a child comes to be tested positive.

More generally, the accommodation conditions in the collective isolation structures receiving the cases tested positive or the close contact cases raise legitimate questions. Finally, many of us have experienced frustration and sadness because of the impossibility of fulfilling our civic duty during the first round of the presidential election, on April 10th.

Apple takes 23% of the Chinese Market
